ABOUT TARA MORGAN, THE BARBER:

Since COVID lockdown, we’ve all pulled off a bit of reinvention - I took my skills of coaching, creative design, grown-up and kid customer service, cycling, and entrepreneurship and created C’Mon Barber on Vashon Island.

My name is Tara Morgan, aka C’Mon Barber. Originally from East Tennessee, I’ve been a PNW resident since 1994, after graduating from Ithaca College, NY. Most of my career has been in arts fundraising and coaching rowing. Barbering has always been a special topic as I loved my childhood barber, Ken and have had a hair-story of everything from short haircuts to perms and waist-length hair.

I started barbering as a way of helping folks cope during lockdown, and after only a few months of stumbling through haircuts, I made the leap to barber college in Fall 2020 at Washington Beauty School. I learned haircutting in that bizarre lockdown period by giving free haircuts to seniors and kids all over the island, traveling on my Rad E-Bike, barber kit on-board. I have many people to thank - teachers, mentors, my own family circle, and especially those that let me practice my skills in those early days. Now, nearly 5 years in business, it’s an honor to serve your families.
